My 30 years experience as a community OT was an amazing and fulfilling journey. I now have the opportunity of supporting an incredible team of new and experienced OTs in my position as an administrator. I couldn't think of anything else that I'd rather do in my "retirement"! I enjoy yoga, running and cross country skiing with my very enthusiastic 90 pound bernedoodle. Camping and spending time in the outdoors also feed my spirit.

Reg. OT, BHK, MOT

I am a graduate of the UBC Master of Occupational Therapy class of 2024. I'm excited to enter the field of Occupational Therapy and make positive and impactful connections with clients to enhance and fulfill their goals. Working with adults throughout their lifespan to address physical and cognitive needs is inspiring for me. You'll find me exploring the great outdoors or on the couch with a good book, there is no in-between!

I am grateful to have been able to complete all my education in my hometown of Prince George as part of the first northern cohort of the UBC Master of Occupational Therapy program. My fieldwork experience took me throughout the north giving me a greater appreciation for its beauty and its people. As part of my education I experienced different practice settings including in-patient rehabilitation, long term care, and community care. I have always been drawn to working with children and am developing and expanding my skills in paediatrics, especially working with children with autism. In my free time, I love to cook and bake, trying new recipes to share with my friends and family. My husband and I also enjoy the outdoors in all seasons doing activities like hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, or going to a lake to swim or skate.

As an occupational therapist, I am dedicated to improving my clients' quality of life with personalized therapy plans. I offer a caring, supportive approach and am creative in finding solutions. I am newer to the practice area so am constantly seeking to increase my education, blending empathy and innovation in my practice. My professional interests include physical injury and traumatic brain injury. In my personal time, I enjoy staying active through hiking, skiing, and playing soccer. I also love spending time at the lake, where I can relax and appreciate nature. These activities are so easy to access in the North and they keep me balanced and energized.

BSc (Psychology), MOT

I completed my BSc at UNBC, and my MOT at UBC. I bring experience across Acute Care, Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab, and Community settings, with a focus on neuro-rehabilitation. I love exploring the intricacies of cognitive, perceptual, and physical treatment, and thrive on collaborative problem-solving with clients. I am constantly learning from my clients, which is something I love about being an OT. My goal is always to support individuals in achieving goals that are important and meaningful to them in the context of their own daily lives. Professional interests include brain injury (including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and anoxic brain injury). I love wandering in the forest, playing in the snow, and spending time on the water with friends and family. We treasure the PG life, and take good advantage of the local adventures in all seasons. I also love visiting family in New Zealand and exploring the mountains, lakes, and rivers there.

BSc, MOT

As a 2025 graduate of the UBC Masters of Occupational Therapy program (Prince George cohort), I am starting off at the trail head of my OT journey and have the privledge of starting my path in pediatrics with Northern OT Services Inc.! Prior to pursuing OT, I had worked with children in summer camps, and as a Rehabilitation Assistant on Vancouver Island. Feeling ready for a change, I continued my educational journey in Prince George in the UBC MOT program where I am grateful for the unlearning and learning I have done and contine to do. I have had the privledge of learning in the practice settings of home and community care, emergency, inpatient rehabilitation, mental health, acute care, and private pediatrics. The north has a piece of my heart, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn and develop skills in the area of pediatrics. When I am away from work, I enjoy reading, getting out for walks or hikes, being in the water, baking delicious sweet treats (banana bread and chocolate chip cookies are a go to!) and visiting with family and friends. Being new to the area, I am humbled by this opportunity to connect with the land and all the north has to offer.
